Zaffamaro Country house is situated on the strada del Sagrantino which begins fromSpoleto to Montefalco where the famous wine is produced.
Spoleto is a town full of historical witnesses from Longobard and Middle ages. About it, it’s necessary one day more than more you generally have.
Seesighting: the Towers’ Bridge, built in the end of 14th century, the Albornoz Castle, built by Innocenzo VI, the Roman Theatre, Arc of Druso (the triumph entrance to the Roman forum, nowadays Market square).
Next to the place there is the Roman House of Vespasia Polla, mother of the Vespasiano emperor.
The Cathedral Square,built at the end of 12th century, is surrounded by middle age palaces. Obviously it’s obliged a visit to the Municipal Picture Gallery and the Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery.
Travelling in the Spoleto Valley you can meet a lot of middle age suburb and castles among them ”Campello Alto”, 10th century, Trevi and Montefalco.
Not far away from the country house, also reachable on foot, the Pieve of S. Brizio is a church with Romanesque crypt, which any tourist should visit.
